Bring MENTAL HEALTH into the OPEN

DONATE NOW

THANK YOU!

When we had to cancel the in-person Ride Don’t Hide this year, we didn’t know what to expect of the next few months. We were facing self-isolation, local businesses closing, and national business starting layoffs. We were facing a tragic loss of funding at a time when the need and demand for CMHA’s mental health programs and services were increasing. We were facing a fragmented, isolated and concerned community.

We didn’t know what to expect, to be honest.

But you blew us away. Ride Don't Hide virtually raised more than $600,000 to deliver mental health programs and services in communities across Canada, needed now more than ever.

Your commitment to ride and not hide, your commitment to bring mental health into the open, your commitment to raise funds to ensure that no one has to ride alone—you are beyond inspirational. Ride Don’t Hide riders are some of the most passionate, dedicated and courageous mental health advocates in the country.

A global pandemic can’t stop you. As a virtual rider, you took it on yourself to stand up and show the world that no one has to ride alone.

From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You.

Keep well and stay safe. We'll be back soon for 2021!

Get on your bike and join the movement

Ride Don’t Hide is a chance to connect – to your own mental health, to your community and to the nationwide movement to bring mental health into the open.

When we hide our mental health, we can’t get the support or help we need and deserve. Ride Don’t Hide brings our families, friends, workplaces and local communities together to say that mental health is important and that supporting each other is key. Because we all deserve to feel well.

I am Danny and this is why I ride:

I ride to feel the wind on my face and to feel alive. Cycling is my way of taking care of me. On my bike at Ride Don’t Hide, I’m cycling for me but, actually, I feel I’m riding for all of us. We all need to take care of our mental health. That’s why I ride.

I am Fatima and this is why I ride:

I ride to raise funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association. CMHA was there for me when a member of my family died by suicide. I found a group of people there who understand. They really get it. I am feeling so much stronger now. Ride Don’t Hide funds services that get it. That’s why I ride.
