CMHA Calgary

It is Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region’s (CMHA Calgary) mission to be a leader in reducing the impact of mental illness and addiction in community. For more than 60 years, we have provided a person and family centered integrated service model focused on early intervention and prevention of a mental health or substance use concern that delivers a measurable increase in community resiliency.

Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region creates awareness, provides education and support for individuals and families living with a mental health or substance use concern, or a loss by suicide. We provide community-based programs, including supportive and independent living, homeless outreach, aboriginal outreach, suicide bereavement and peer support for families and individuals. We work closely with other community organizations to bridge gaps in the mental health care system and facilitate access to important services and resources.

Ride Don’t Hide and Energize Don't Hide raises awareness and funds that make a significant impact in our community. Your donation enables us to continue this essential work in our community. This event will provide essential mental health programs and services including, our Centre of Excellence in Recovery and Peer Support, Recovery College and Youth focused programming.

Volunteers Needed

Ride Don’t Hide couldn’t have been as successful as it was over the past 6 years without the support of our dedicated volunteers. Even with the cancellation of our in person event, we are still looking for support from volunteers.

Masks: Learn how to make a re-useable mask at home and share with your family, friends and neighbours. Follow the DIY Cloth Face Mask instructions. Once you have made your masks, take a picture and post on social media. Don't forget to tag us @CMHACalgary #turni2we

Fitness:  Would you like to host a live-stream fitness video or share a recorded fitness routine? We are looking for volunteers to help keep our communities mentally and physically well by challenging audiences to cycle, walk, run, stretch or complete a no-gym workout. Contact us at volunteer1@cmha.calgary.ab.ca if you would like to be a part of the Energize Don’t Hide movement!
